Can Tablets Bring Your Period on Earlier Than Expected?
I have a trip coming up and I want my period to start a few days early so it doesn't fall during my travel. Are there tablets that can bring a period forward, and is it safe to take them without seeing a doctor?

Medically, you can shift your period’s timing but bringing it forward is less reliable than delaying it, and both require a prescription.
To bring a period forward slightly, a doctor may prescribe progestin (norethisterone) to be taken earlier in your cycle. When you stop, the drop in progesterone triggers bleeding. But timing isn’t fully predictable, which is why this method is less commonly used for this purpose.
A more reliable option for travel is to delay the period instead. Norethisterone taken 3 days before your expected period and continued until you’re ready works well for this and is widely prescribed in India for short-term use.
You need a prescription these are hormonal medications and the dose, timing, and your medical history all matter.
