Is typhoid related to coronavirus, or are they completely different?

Since the pandemic, I’ve noticed that many symptoms like fever and weakness are common in different illnesses, which makes it confusing. If someone has typhoid, is it in any way related to coronavirus? Can typhoid be considered a symptom of COVID, or are they completely separate conditions?

Typhoid and COVID-19 are completely different diseases. Typhoid is caused by a bacterium (Salmonella typhi) and usually spreads through contaminated food and water. On the other hand, COVID-19 is caused by a virus and spreads mainly through respiratory droplets.

While both can cause fever and weakness, they are not directly related. Proper testing is important to identify the exact cause of illness.
