Can inner ear problems cause dizziness and balance issues?
My younger brother keeps getting dizziness and balancing issues randomly. Firstly we thought it is weakness, but ENT suggested it could be an inner ear problem. Has anyone experienced this?

Recurrent dizziness and balance issues are very often related to the inner ear rather than general “weakness,” especially in younger patients.
The inner ear plays a major role in balance, and conditions like BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo), vestibular inflammation, or even post-viral ear issues can cause sudden episodes of spinning sensation or imbalance. Many patients initially mistake it for fatigue, low BP, or weakness, which delays proper diagnosis.
The key difference is that inner ear dizziness often feels like spinning, tilting, or sudden imbalance, sometimes triggered by head movement, rather than just general tiredness.
A proper ENT evaluation with basic vestibular tests can usually identify the cause quite clearly. The good news is that most of these conditions are treatable and improve significantly with the right maneuvers, medication, or vestibular therapy once correctly diagnosed.
