Adenoidectomy for 6-Year-Old: Surgery or Medication
12 months ago
My 6-year-old daughter has been advised adenoidectomy because she snores loudly and often struggles to breathe while sleeping. As a parent, I’m very anxious is surgery the only option at this age, or can medication still work?

In some children, medications like nasal sprays or allergy treatment can give temporary relief, but if the adenoids are very enlarged and causing sleep or breathing problems, surgery is usually the best solution. At 6 years, adenoidectomy is considered safe and often helps children sleep and breathe much better.
