Is it better to remove a sebaceous cyst after infection settles?

I've had a small sebaceous cyst on my face for years, but it recently became red, swollen and painful. The swelling has reduced a little now. Is it better to remove the cyst after the infection settles rather than trying to remove it while it is inflamed?

Yes it is advisable to wait for inflammation to subsides for the removal of cyst in total.
When sebaceous cyst is infected antibiotics are started if the infection comes down then surgery is performed when skin is non inflamed so that scar is less… but if infection persists on antibiotics or pus and skin breakdown happens then immediate surgery is performed
