When can ultrasound confirm uterine pregnancy after ectopic history?

I'm pregnant again after having an ectopic pregnancy before, and I'm honestly quite scared this time. I know early checking is important, but I'm not sure exactly when an ultrasound can confirm that the pregnancy is in the uterus. What should I ask my doctor about at the first visit?

After a previous ectopic pregnancy, it is completely understandable to feel anxious. A transvaginal ultrasound can typically confirm the location of the pregnancy as early as 5–6 weeks of gestation. At your first visit, ask your doctor about early ultrasound scheduling, hCG monitoring, and warning signs to watch for, so that any concerns can be addressed promptly.
