My 10-year-old had surgery for strabismus six months ago, but the squint seems to have returned slightly. Is this normal, or does it mean the surgery failed? What are the chances of needing a second surgery?

It’s not uncommon for a mild misalignment to reappear after squint surgery, especially in children who are still growing.
