Can cancer spread through saliva, kissing, or sharing utensils?

Someone told me cancer can spread through saliva and honestly I got scared. If a person has cancer, is it safe to kiss them and share food, spoon or glass with them?

Cancer is not contagious and cannot spread from one person to another through saliva, kissing, or sharing food and utensils. Cancer develops due to genetic mutations within an individual’s own cells and is not transmitted like an infection.

It is completely safe to share meals and show physical affection to someone with cancer, doing so can provide important emotional support. If you have specific concerns, consulting a doctor can help address any fears.
