What blood tests are done first when cancer is suspected?
If doctor suspects cancer after seeing symptoms, which blood test do they normally ask for first? Is CBC enough or there are some special blood tests for cancer also?

When cancer is suspected, doctors typically start with a Complete Blood Count (CBC) to assess overall blood health, but CBC alone is not sufficient to diagnose cancer.
Depending on the suspected type, doctors may also order tumor marker tests, liver/kidney function tests, or other specialized panels. A definitive cancer diagnosis usually requires imaging studies and a biopsy, so it’s best to follow your doctor’s specific recommendations.
