If you’re looking for an effective under-eye cream, the key is its active ingredients. Retinol is one of my favorite and most effective molecules for under-eye concerns. I have tried other molecules as well, but I didn’t see consistent results with them in my patients.
Retinol, when incorporated correctly, works synergistically with other treatments. For under-eye skin, which is very thin, a lower concentration like 1% retinol is recommended. Using higher concentrations can cause irritation or retinoid dermatitis, so it’s important to use it carefully.
