Constant earbud use for long hours, especially at high volume, can definitely lead to symptoms like ringing in the ears and sometimes early noise induced hearing strain.
The important thing to understand is that the ear doesn’t adapt safely to continuous loud sound exposure. Over time, it can irritate or damage the delicate inner ear hair cells, which are responsible for hearing clarity. That’s when people start noticing ringing, blocked sensation, or difficulty focusing in quiet environments, especially at night.
In many cases, if caught early, this is reversible or at least manageable with reducing exposure, lowering volume, and giving the ears proper rest. But if ignored for a long time, it can sometimes become persistent.
So yes , excessive earphone use can affect hearing, but the good news is that early symptoms like yours are a warning sign, not a permanent damage stage yet. It’s a good idea to reduce usage, keep volume moderate, and if ringing continues, get a simple hearing test done with an ENT specialist.
Yes using loud and excessive noose in ear can damage hearing nerves and most times it can cause permanent damage to nerves
