Gynecomastia Surgery : Procedure, Expectations, and Results

I have been struggling with gynecomastia for many years. I have tried exercising, but nothing has worked. I recently consulted a specialist, and they suggested surgery. How is gynecomastia surgery performed, and what results can I expect?

Gynecomastia surgery is designed to remove both components of the condition: the glandular tissue and the excess fat. The fat removal is usually done through liposuction, which means the extra fat is melted and suctioned out of the body.

During the procedure, small punctures are made near the sides of the chest, close to the armpits, through which the fat is removed. The remaining glandular tissue, located just behind the nipple, is removed through a small incision along the edge of the nipple. The reason for this incision placement is cosmetic as a plastic surgeon, the goal is to ensure there is no visible scar, so it is not obvious that surgery was performed.

After surgery, patients can expect a flatter, more contoured chest, with improved symmetry and appearance.
