How accurate are malaria test kits at home and should we rely on them?
I’ve seen malaria test kits available at pharmacies and online, and I was wondering if they are reliable enough to use at home. Sometimes it’s not easy to visit a lab immediately, especially at night or during emergencies. Can these kits give accurate results, or should we still go for a proper lab test?

Malaria rapid test kits (RDTs) can be useful for quick screening, especially in situations where lab testing is not immediately available.
However, while they are fairly reliable, they may not always be 100% accurate. A confirmatory blood test in a laboratory is still recommended, especially if symptoms persist despite a negative result.
