How is accessory breast tissue under armpit confirmed?

I have a soft swelling under my armpit that becomes more noticeable and tender around my periods. I initially thought it was just weight gain. Could this be accessory breast tissue, and how is it usually confirmed?

A soft swelling under the armpit that becomes more noticeable and tender around periods is a classic presentation of axillary breast (accessory breast tissue), which is extra breast tissue located outside the normal breast area.

It is usually confirmed through a clinical examination by a doctor, and imaging tests such as ultrasound or MRI may be used to differentiate it from other conditions like lipoma or lymph node swelling.

It is advisable to consult a surgeon or gynecologist for a proper evaluation and to discuss treatment options if needed.

As per your description it looks like accessory axillary breast tissue hypertrophy, you can consult your nearby surgeon for proper evaluation and management.

Axillary tail of breast is confirmed by ultrasound scan.. If it is painful or cosmetic issue then it can be addressed by surgery.. Consult a plastic surgeon
