Recovery timeline after monofocal lens cataract surgery

I’m worried about recovery after monofocal lens surgery. How quickly can someone return to normal activities like cooking, reading, or outdoor work? My family is supportive, but I feel very anxious about how vision will feel afterward.

Light activities like reading or watching TV can often be resumed within a day or two. Driving, outdoor tasks, and exercise typically resume within a week once vision feels comfortable. Full visual stabilization usually occurs over a few weeks. Most patients feel confident and independent soon after surgery, and the improvement in clarity and safety brings peace of mind to both patients and families.
