Thyroid, PCOS, and diabetes after miscarriage when and what to test ?Miscarriage

I’ve heard that miscarriages can be linked to thyroid, PCOS, or diabetes. Should women who suffer miscarriage always get these conditions checked? Which tests are considered mandatory after one miscarriage?

Yes, conditions like thyroid imbalance, uncontrolled diabetes, and PCOS can contribute to miscarriage. However, after one miscarriage, doctors usually do not rush into extensive testing unless there are symptoms or a medical history suggesting these problems. Basic blood tests for thyroid, sugar levels, and hemoglobin may be advised for reassurance. More detailed testing is usually reserved for women with repeated miscarriages. So while it is not mandatory after a single event, getting at least the basic checks done can give peace of mind and help prepare the body better for the next pregnancy.
