I have been experiencing inflammation, white discharge, and possible infection due to hygiene issues. I’ve been advised circumcision. How effective is it, and what is the recovery process like?

Based on your symptoms, circumcision can be an effective and safe solution, especially if infections and hygiene issues are recurring. It is a simple procedure where the foreskin is removed to prevent moisture buildup and reduce the risk of infections like urinary tract infections or discharge.
The surgery is usually done under anesthesia, so you won’t feel pain during the procedure. After surgery, mild pain and swelling can be expected for a few days, which is manageable with medications. Most patients can resume light activities within 1–2 days, while complete healing typically takes around 2–3 weeks.
Wearing loose clothing, maintaining hygiene, and following medication instructions are important for smooth recovery. It’s best to proceed after proper consultation and evaluation to ensure the right treatment plan.
