After circumcision procedure, mild swelling behind the glans can persist for 4–8 weeks in some patients, especially near the staple line. At 5 weeks, this can still be part of the normal healing process if there is no pus, foul smell, fever, or severe pain.
The penis usually starts looking more normal by 6–8 weeks, but complete settling of swelling and skin tightness may take 2–3 months. Pain or discomfort during sex is also common early on because the tissue is still healing and sensitive.
It is generally advised to avoid sexual activity until the swelling and tenderness reduce completely. If the swelling is increasing, feels hard, or pain is significant, a follow-up with your surgeon is recommended to rule out delayed healing or infection.
Circumcision zsr is a procedure can be done for infection, cosmetic, prophylactic, and sometimes to rule out pre malignant condition, we need to understand the pathology or cosmetic purpose for which the surgery is done., and what was the finding, For a cosmetic purposely done circumcision heals very earlier than with premalignant or infective etiology, and moreover usually healing time for any part of he body is 3 to 6 weeks for a healthy adult with otherwise no comorbidity(diabetes, immunocompromised state) , behaviour status like smoking and early consumption of alcohol against surgeon advice, yes might delays healing. the use of ZSR clears the infection and proper marking can be done as well as precise cut is a well known factor for better healing, despite the procedure if any infection noted in the post op including not cleansing properly, inappropriate dressing technique, poor maintenance of local hygiene and of course morning woods, late night erections disturbs the course of healing, which might cause some amount of secondary oedema and which will take 2 or 3 weeks more to get resolved, it is very likely to resolve, provided every conditions are favour healing
