How can we identify a malaria mosquito and is it different from regular mosquitoes?
I’ve always wondered if there’s any way to tell which mosquito spreads malaria. All mosquitoes look the same to me, but people often say that only certain types are responsible. Is there any visible difference between a malaria mosquito and a regular one? Or is it impossible to identify them at home?

Malaria is spread specifically by the female Anopheles mosquito. While it can be difficult for the general public to identify them, these mosquitoes typically have a slanted resting position (their body is angled upward) compared to other mosquitoes that rest flat.
They are most active during nighttime, especially from dusk to dawn. However, since identification is not always easy, it’s best to take precautions against all mosquitoes.
