Mild to moderate swelling around the stapler ring is common 9 days after phimosis surgery and usually improves gradually as healing progresses. Keep the area clean, follow your surgeon’s post operative instructions, and avoid activities that may irritate the surgical site.
If the swelling worsens or is accompanied by severe pain, fever, foul smelling discharge, excessive bleeding, or difficulty passing urine, consult your surgeon promptly for evaluation.
Almost always temporary and resolves within a week or two after the silicon ring has fallen. Sometimes additional medicines may be prescribed. Hope that helps!
