I have extra tissue under one armpit but nothing similar on the other side. It becomes more noticeable before my period. Is one-sided accessory breast tissue possible?

Yes, one-sided (unilateral) accessory breast tissue, also known as axillary breast tissue, is possible and not uncommon. It often becomes more noticeable or tender before menstruation due to hormonal changes, just like normal breast tissue.
While it is usually benign, it is advisable to consult a doctor for a proper evaluation to rule out any other conditions and discuss treatment options if needed.
Yes, it can be , as tissue has variable sensitivity to the hormones and also it depends on the proportion of accessory breast tissue at the axilla.
Yes one sided axillary tail of breast is common.. If painful or cosmetic then you can opt for surgery
