Why does armpit swelling or extra tissue appear after pregnancy?
My armpit swelling appeared after pregnancy I noticed extra tissue under my arm after having my baby, and it becomes more noticeable when I'm breastfeeding. I had never noticed it before pregnancy. Could pregnancy hormones make accessory breast tissue more obvious?

What you’re experiencing is likely axillary breast tissue (accessory breast tissue), which can become more prominent during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to hormonal changes that stimulate all breast tissue, including any extra tissue present in the armpit area.
This is a relatively common condition that often goes unnoticed until hormonal shifts during pregnancy make it more visible or swollen. While it is generally benign, it is advisable to consult a doctor for a proper evaluation to rule out any other causes and discuss management options if it causes discomfort.
