Can cancer spread from one person to another through blood contact?

I read that cancer cells can travel through blood inside the body. But can those cancer cells go into another persons body through blood contact and cause cancer there, or is that not possible?

Cancer is generally not contagious and cannot spread from one person to another through blood contact or casual interaction. Cancer cells from one person are typically recognized and destroyed by another person’s immune system if they enter their body.

While there are extremely rare documented cases in very specific circumstances (such as organ transplantation with immunosuppression), transmission of cancer between healthy individuals through normal blood contact is not considered possible.

If you have concerns about cancer risk, consulting a doctor for proper evaluation is recommended.
