Low AMH , Does It Mean IVF is the Only Option?
My AMH came back low and it has terrified me. Does having a low AMH automatically mean that IVF is my only option now? Or can women with low ovarian reserve still have natural pregnancies with the right guidance and timely treatment?

A low AMH does not automatically close the door on natural conception. AMH simply reflects ovarian reserve, not your ability to conceive naturally in every case. Many women with low AMH still ovulate regularly and can get pregnant with timed cycles or mild stimulation. The key is early action because low AMH tends to decline further with time.
That said, IVF is often recommended not because you cannot conceive naturally, but because IVF can help retrieve multiple eggs in a single cycle and increase your chances before the reserve drops further.
Your doctor will assess your age, cycle regularity, partner’s semen analysis, and other hormones before suggesting whether you truly need IVF or can still try less intensive options.
