An 8 to 10 cm ovarian cyst with low level echoes on ultrasound is commonly seen with endometriomas or hemorrhagic cysts and does not by itself mean cancer. The pathology results and your gynecologist’s evaluation are needed to confirm the diagnosis and guide treatment.
Since the cyst is large, keep your follow up appointment and discuss the results with your doctor. Seek urgent medical care if you develop sudden severe pelvic pain, fever, vomiting, dizziness, or fainting, as these may indicate a complication that requires immediate attention.
