Can Couples Conceive Without IVF?

If we’re not able to conceive, are there options other than IVF that can help us conceive naturally or with less invasive methods?

Yes, absolutely. It’s a big myth that visiting a fertility specialist means you’ll be told to do IVF straight away. That’s not true. When a couple comes to us, we first understand their full history age of both partners, how long they’ve been trying, whether the woman’s periods are regular, if there are issues like PCOD or endometriosis, any past surgeries, or any concerns on the male side.
After that, we do basic investigations such as blood tests, tube tests, and semen analysis. If everything comes back normal and the couple is young, there is no need for IVF at all. We first guide them about the fertile window and advise them to try accordingly for 3–6 months.
If pregnancy still doesn’t happen, the next step is IUI, which is a minimally invasive method. Only when IUI has already been tried or when reports show conditions where IUI won’t help that’s when we consider IVF. So the decision depends entirely on age, reports, and medical history. Not every patient needs IVF many conceive with simple guidance, proper timing, or IUI itself.
