Can people with diabetes eat beetroot without worrying about sugar spikes?
I am trying to include more healthy foods in my diet after being diagnosed with diabetes. Beetroot is often recommended for its health benefits, but I’ve also heard it can be high in sugar. I’m confused whether I should include it or avoid it completely. Is beetroot actually safe for diabetics?

Beetroot can be included in a diabetic diet, but again, in controlled portions. It has natural sugars, but also contains fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants.
Eating it in small amounts, preferably as part of a meal rather than alone, helps prevent sudden sugar spikes. Avoid consuming large quantities or beetroot juice frequently. Balance and moderation are key.
