Is banana okay for diabetes, or should it be avoided completely?

Bananas have always been my go to fruit, but after being diagnosed with diabetes, I’ve been told to avoid them.I’m finding it hard to completely cut them out of my diet. Is it true that bananas are not safe for diabetics, or can they still be eaten in some way?

Bananas can be eaten in diabetes, but portion and ripeness matter. Ripe bananas have higher sugar content, so it’s better to choose small or slightly less ripe bananas.

Limit the quantity and avoid eating them on an empty stomach. Pairing them with protein or fiber can help manage sugar levels better. Completely avoiding them is not always necessary; controlled intake is the key.
