Pregnancy-related piles are very common because pregnancy puts extra pressure on the veins around the rectal area, and constipation during that time makes it worse. Many women notice improvement naturally after delivery with good hydration, fiber-rich food, and avoiding straining during bowel movements.
But when discomfort continues for a long time, especially pain or difficulty while sitting, it often means the piles have become more chronic rather than temporary. The good thing is that surgery is not always needed. Many patients improve with lifestyle changes, medications, and simple non-surgical treatments if addressed at the right time.
I’d still recommend getting her examined once by a specialist, mainly to assess the stage properly and prevent it from becoming more uncomfortable later on.
