Yellow Nasal Discharge With Facial Pressure for Days
13 hours ago
I have had thick yellow mucus from my nose for more than a week along with facial heaviness and bad smell while breathing. Could this mean a sinus infection instead of a normal cold

Persistent thick nasal discharge with facial pressure or foul smell may suggest sinus infection or significant nasal inflammation rather than a simple viral cold. Many patients initially expect symptoms to settle within a few days, but ongoing congestion and heaviness can indicate that the sinuses are becoming involved.
If symptoms continue beyond the usual recovery period or gradually worsen, proper evaluation becomes important. Depending on the cause, treatment may involve allergy management, sinus care, or medications aimed at reducing infection and inflammation.
