Does Eating Papaya Actually Prevent Pregnancy?
I've heard that eating papaya after sex can prevent pregnancy. Is there any truth to this, or is it just a myth? I want to know if this is a reliable method before considering relying on it in any way.

No – eating papaya is not a reliable way to prevent pregnancy. Do not use it as contraception.
The belief comes from raw (unripe) papaya containing papain and latex compounds that, in very high concentrations, have shown anti-fertility effects in some animal studies. These compounds may interfere with implantation or early embryo development.
But there are serious problems with applying this to real-world human use. First, the amounts studied in animals are far higher than what a person would consume by eating papaya. Second, reliable effects haven’t been demonstrated in human studies. Third, the result – even if it exists – is highly inconsistent depending on how much you eat, ripeness, individual metabolism, and timing relative to ovulation.
