After Years of Asking People to Repeat Themselves, He Finally Heard His Daughter From Another Room

For Sunil Verma, a 42-year-old school teacher from Lucknow, hearing had slowly become a struggle he learned to live with. What began as occasional ear infections during his younger years gradually turned into a persistent problem – one that affected not just his hearing, but also his connection with the world around him.
“I used to ask people to repeat things often,” he says. “At first, it felt minor. But over time, I realized I was missing out on conversations.”
