UTI stands for Urinary Tract Infection. It is an infection that commonly occurs with the entry bacteria in the urinary tract. These bacteria manage entry through the urethra and start multiplying inside the bladder. The incapability of the urinary system to resist the invaders give hold of our bodies to these bacteria. This results in a full-blown infection that we call UTI.
UTI can occur in both genders, however, it is more common in males. The major culprit is the bacterium known as E.coli (Escherichia coli).
How can UTI infect you?

- Birth control pills and Hygiene: Contraceptive pills can cause changes in hormones and disturb the natural bacteria in the vagina. Moreover, not maintaining proper hygiene during menstruation can lead to the growth of infection and may also infect with UTI.
