ओपन कट ओवेरियन सिस्टेक्टोमी (पारंपरिक विधि)
जैसा कि नाम से पता चलता है, इस प्रक्रिया में रोग ग्रस्त स्थान पर एक बड़ा चीरा लगाना शामिल है। इसके पश्चात सर्जन सिस्ट को निकाल देते हैं और टांके के माध्यम से चीरा बंद कर देते हैं। आमतौर पर इस विधि को केवल एक असाधारण बड़े, कैंसरयुक्त, या जटिल ओवेरियन सिस्ट के मामले में की जाती है। यह विधि तुलनात्मक रूप से अधिक आक्रामक होती है और इसमें भारी रक्त हानि की संभावना रहती है। ऑपरेशन के बाद निशान ज्यादा समय तक रहता है और रोगी जल्द ठीक नहीं हो पाता है।
