Dr. Shanmuga Priya has previously worked with Vasan Eye Care, where she served from November 2009 to June 2019, gaining over a decade of hands-on experience in treating a wide range of eye conditions. She has performed over 100 Small Incision Cataract Surgeries (SICS), conducted diagnostic procedures such as applanation tonometry, gonioscopy, visual field testing, and A & B-scan ultrasonography, and managed post-operative recovery and ocular trauma cases. Her academic interest led to a paper presentation on diabetic retinopathy at the AP State Conference in 2009, and she has attended several national ophthalmology conferences including IIRSI and Reticon.
She is fluent in English, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu, ensuring effective communication with patients across diverse backgrounds.
