About Cataract Treatment

Cataract treatment aims to clear up blurry vision caused by a cloudy lens in the eye, a condition usually affecting older adults. When daily life starts getting tough due to unclear vision, it might be time for cataract surgery. This procedure is typically performed by an eye doctor or ophthalmologist at a clinic or hospital, and you won't need to stay overnight. During the surgery, the doctor carefully removes the cloudy lens and replaces it with an intraocular lens (IOL), which is a clear artificial lens. The whole process usually takes 20–30 minutes and is known to be safe and effective for most people. Those opting for lens replacement surgery in Lajpat Nagar can expect significant improvement in their vision.

Advanced Cataract Treatment Available at Pristyn Care in Lajpat Nagar

Pristyn Care in Lajpat Nagar offers advanced solutions for cataract issues. If blurry vision or difficulty seeing at night is troubling you, this is the place to consider.

Phacoemulsification

Phacoemulsification is a popular and minimally invasive method to treat cataracts. During this procedure, the doctor will numb your eye with local anaesthesia to ensure comfort. A small incision, less than 4 mm, is then made in the cornea. Using high-frequency ultrasound waves, the cloudy lens, or cataract, is broken into tiny fragments. These fragments are gently suctioned out of the eye. After removing the cataract, an artificial lens, known as an intraocular lens (IOL), is inserted and unfolds naturally inside the eye. The incision is so small that it self-seals without needing any stitches. The entire process usually takes about 20-30 minutes per eye, and most people can go home on the same day.

I would like to share my experience regarding my recent eye treatment. I contacted Pristyn Care as I experienced blurred vision in my right eye. I am a cataract-treated patient, having undergone surgery approximately 15–20 years ago, and recently noticed a reduction in visibility. I was referred to Dr. Priti Maan at Sight Avenue (Dr. Suraj Munjal Eye Hospital), where I was advised to undergo YAG capsulotomy (capsule cleaning). The procedure was performed using laser treatment by Dr. Priti Maan, followed by a prescription of eye drops for seven days. Post-treatment, my vision in the right eye has improved significantly, and I am feeling much better. I do have a few minor issues, which are expected to be addressed after the seven-day medication course. It was clearly confirmed after the procedure that my retina and lens are in good condition, and no replacement or further surgical intervention is required. I am very satisfied with the transparent consultation, treatment, and guidance provided by Sight Avenue. Thank you so much, Dr. Priti Maan, for your professional care and support.
