ESWL कैसे काम करता है

ईएसडब्ल्यूएल 2 सेमी से छोटे आकार के तथा गुर्दे या ऊपरी मूत्रवाहिनी में स्थित पथरी के लिए सबसे अधिक प्रभावी है।
रिकवरी की उम्मीदें
- अस्पताल में रहना : आमतौर पर बाह्य रोगी; मरीज अक्सर उसी दिन घर जा सकते हैं।
- ऑपरेशन के तुरंत बाद देखभाल : हल्की असुविधा, चोट लगना, या मूत्र में रक्त आना हो सकता है और इसका उपचार दर्द निवारक दवा और जलयोजन से किया जाता है।
- गतिविधि : हल्की गतिविधियां एक दिन के भीतर फिर से शुरू की जा सकती हैं; ज़ोरदार गतिविधियां कुछ दिनों के लिए प्रतिबंधित की जा सकती हैं।
- अनुवर्ती : 1-2 सप्ताह के बाद इमेजिंग से पथरी का पूर्ण निष्कासन सुनिश्चित होता है। बड़ी पथरियों के लिए अतिरिक्त सत्रों की आवश्यकता हो सकती है।
