Who Is at Risk

Diagnosis

Diagnostic evaluation includes:

• Contrast swallow and CT scan for leak or stricture
• Upper GI endoscopy for stricture, ulceration, or band erosion

• Comprehensive nutritional blood panel (B12, iron, zinc, vitamin D)
• Glucose monitoring for dumping syndrome and hypoglycaemia
• Nuclear medicine gastric emptying study if indicated
