With developments in science and technologies, medical treatments have evolved in new ways. It's almost possible to rectify any part of the body and be your type of perfect. Hymenoplasty or hymen reconstruction surgery is the surgical restoration or reconstruction of the hymen.

As you might be familiar, the hymen is a ring-like membrane in a woman’s vagina. With sexual penetration, regress workout or sports it may rift. Leading to breaking of virginity which might be unacceptable for some. However, virginity is a taboo category. Nevertheless, hymen reconstruction surgery can help fix that rift.

Procedures of Hymenoplasty

  • Hymen reconstruction surgery can be done after months or years of breaking virginity. And, the surgery must be undertaken by a plastic surgeon to avoid consequences.
  • This is a surgical procedure in which the torn edges of the hymen (due to sexual intercourse, sport, exercises etc.) are joined back together. The procedure gives a rejuvenated hymen that appears new and youthful and is capable to bleed on sexual penetration.
  • After a few days of surgery, the stitched edges of hymen dissolve by themselves.
  • The process takes about an hour to finish. Anesthesia is used during the procedure to avoid pain.
  • Patients are discharged from hospital after 5 to 6 hours of the surgery.
  • Patients are advised to avoid any vigorous activity, lifting of heavy weights and sexual intercourse for a month after the surgery.
  • The patient can resume to normal work the next day. However, complete healing will take about 4 weeks approximately.
